I have a default .NET Core web application project. When I click "Publish" and then "New profile...", Visual Studio 2017 RC crashes.
Steps to reproduce: 1. File -> New project -> ASP.NET Core Web Application (.NET Core) 2. Right click on the project -> Publish... 3. From the Profiles combobox, select New profile... 4. "Visual Studio has stopped working" :(
I looked in the Event Viewer and I found a System.FormatException at System.Number.ParseDouble(). Please have a look at the attachments to see the details of event logs.

Sorry you're running in to this. It should be fixed in the most recent update to the Visual Studio 2017. If you're unable to move to the update at this time, setting your current globalization settings to use a number style with '.' as the decimal separator will avoid the issue.
