Sometimes, just starting Visual Studio 2017, i receve the alert "We've noticed that a tool window 'Error List' is slowing Visual Studio."
I have this message too, and I followed it's suggestion and disabled erro list window. Now error list window doesnt work at all - it doesn't show any errors, warnings or messages.
Any response to this? I've just updated VS2017 with today's update and it's still happening. Can find no helpful info from Microsoft on this other than to refer to an earlier fix (no link, nice one!).
It's still happening in the latest build. Apparently adding 10 seconds to startup.
I have this issue and whenever I try to close the banner with the message, Visual Studio immediatly crashes.
Still no response? Also, my env is Win 7, not that it should matter.
I am on Windows 10 having the same problem....
Thank you for your feedback! We have fixed the problem in an upcoming release. Thank you for helping us build a better Visual Studio!
The fix for this is now in our latest Visual Studio Preview release. If you'd like to try out the fix, you can access the preview build here: https://www.visualstudio.com/vs/preview
