JsonReaderException when trying to install Visual Studio Community 2017
Trying to open VS 2017 today it would not start up but gave me a side-by-side installation error. I did not have any other versions of Visual Studio installed as it had been a fresh installation of VS 2017 on a clean install of Windows. It had been working initially. I then proceeded to try to uninstall the VS 2017 installation using InstallCleanup.exe so that I could re-install it. This did not work.
The error I currently get when starting the Visual Studio 2017 installer is JsonReaderException.
I have used the Collect utility to gather the logs together. See attached.

Thank you for your feedback! For us to investigate this further, could you please tell us if you tried the installCleanup tool as an administrator? We have not had anyone tell that installcleanup failed to cleanup vs install. We also noticed unusual ASCII characters in the path we tried to parse.
I ended up doing a PC Reset of Windows 10. The Visual Studio installer will still not install completely. I get an error saying:
Package 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.AspNet45.Feature,version=15.0.26208.0' failed to install

Unfortunately, there seems to have been an issue uploading your log file. If you could run http://aka.ms/vscollect.exe and attach %temp%\vslogs.zip, we woudl be better able to investigate your issue.
